League Rules 


GLADIATOR GAMES LEAGUE RULES

First and foremost keep your lobby ball out of this league; it will not be accepted. If you do not know what lobby ball is you are more than likely playing it!!


The following are the game play rules for the league and should be respected at all times. Each owner is expected to respect them at all times. All rules are subject to change at ANY TIME as deemed necessary. Please remember this is a sim league so the rules are in place to create an experience which is the complete opposite of lobby ball or unrealistic game play.
If you are unsure about any rule or have a question/recommendation you would like to be heard, simply DM a commish/admin.

Play calling
Play calling should be mixed up. 

Man vs Zone
You should be playing man just as much as you are playing zone; if you are questioned about it, fix it. If you choose not to fi it and to do whatever you want to, you run the risk of being removed from the lg. This is a very serious offense. 

Play Action
NO ONE should be running back to back playaction passes EVER. Play action is NOT allowed on 3rd and 5 or more. If you are found to be abusing play action, there may be disciplinary action. 

GAME STREAMING: TWITCH or YOUTUBE
BOTH owners are responsible for streaming games EVERY GAME and must post their individual stream link in the groupme chat prior to starting the game.  All members must have a Twitch.tv or YouTube account.  ALL CPU GAMES MUST BE STREAMED FOR THE LEAGUE. All games MUST be archived as well in case there are any complaints or concerns regarding game play. Failing to post a stream link before a game may result in disciplinary action

QUICK SNAP
Please do not spam quick snapping of the ball

MANUAL MOTION
When manually motioning ANY player, you must wait for them to completely stop before snapping the ball.

FAKE FGS & PUNTS
NEVER ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

MOVING MEN ON KICKOFF AND PUNT RETURNS
On kickoff and punt returns, no one is allowed to manually run an extra man and set him up as an extra blocker

MANUALLY REPOSITIONING PLAYERS ON DEFENSE PRE-SNAP
You are NOT allowed to manually re-position multiple players on defense pre-snap and then switch off. Once you have taken control of a player and moved him pre-snap you must remain on that player..

MANUALLY MOVING DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
You are NOT allowed to manually run defensive linemen into the secondary UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. However, you are allowed to choose plays which will send defensive linemen into coverage.

RUNNING UP THE SCORE
Running up the score WILL NOT be tolerated under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Please be respectful of your opponent. If you are up at least 28 points at any time,  you should be doing everything possible to take your foot off the gas and end the game respectfully.
4TH DOWN RULES 
a)    4th & 2 or less at your own 45yd line (Just BEFORE the middle of the field). 
b)    At any time inside the red zone (The 20 yd line or closer on the end where you are close to scoring). 
c)    At any point in the game you are trailing by 17 points 
d)    You can go for it on 4th down “IN THE 4TH QUARTER ONLY”  when the game clock is below 3:00 minutes in a one possession game (Regardless if you are in the lead or trailing, this is a COACH'S DECISION).

ROSTER MANAGEMENT
ACCEPTABLE Position Changes:
QB - NO CHANGING
HB - NO CHANGING
FB - To TE only (player MUST be changed to desired position via Edit Player)
WR - NO CHANGING
TE - NO CHANGING
OL - Interchangeable (player MUST be changed to desired position via Edit Player)
DL - DE may move to OLB (player MUST be changed to desired position via Edit Player)
LB - Interchangeable OLB may move to DE (player MUST be changed to desired position via Edit Player)
DB - You may NOT change a CB to safety unless he is over 28 years old and has less than 86 speed

FORCE WINS
Force wins will be given out during the season except for the last two 3 weeks of the season due to playoff positioning. 
If your opponent is unavailable, please let a commish know and the FW will be set. If your opponent is the cpu, you will automatically be given a FW. If it is the last 3 weeks of the season, you will have to play the cpu or accept a fair sim.

TRADES
NO TRADES DURING THE FIRST SEASON
OWNERS WHO JOIN DURING THE START OF AN OFF SEASON WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TRADE UNTIL THE START OF THE FOLLOWING OFF SEASON.**
You are allowed ONLY (2) TRADES per season. THIS INCLUDES ANY PRESEASON DEALS AS THEY COUNT TOWARDS THE UPCOMING SEASON
Only TWO (2) teams may be involved in a trade. No multi-team trades (3+ teams). 
The maximum amount of pieces (players/picks) a team can trade away per deal is TWO (2). In other words, a 2 for 2 deal is the maximum limit per trade.

TRADE APPROVALS
The Trade Committee is in place and we will be monitoring compliance and looking at ALL TRADES that are proposed by owners. No Trades are to be processed in game prior to the committee approving and advising of the trading owners.
